The Board of Directors of Faith in Love Foundation are pleased to announce that the Foundation has entered into a partnership with the United Nations Development Programme to sponsor a United Nations Volunteer from Hong Kong or the Greater China Region to engage research and regional policy support to encourage greater diversity and LGBTI inclusion in Asia. As a member of the HIV, Health and Development Team the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

$1·       Support the Being LGBTI in Asia programme activities at regional and national levels

$1·       Assist the programme manager develop and implement a regional private sector engagement strategy on LGBTI inclusion

$1·       Contribute to UNDP’s mandate to promote the inclusion of young people and marginalized groups, specifically LGBTI people

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is the UN organization that promotes volunteerism to support peace and development worldwide. Volunteerism can transform the pace and nature of development and it benefits both society at large and the individual volunteer. UNV contributes to peace and development by advocating for volunteerism globally, encouraging partners to integrate volunteerism into development programming, and mobilizing volunteers.

In most cultures volunteerism is deeply embedded in long-established, ancient traditions of sharing and support within the communities. In this context, UN Volunteers take part in various forms of volunteerism and play a role in development and peace together with co-workers, host agencies and local communities.

Faith in Love and UNV share the same passion and respect for volunteerism and advocating change through dialogue and peaceful engagement.
