Ms. Gigi Chao 趙式芝
Ms. Chao, founded Faith in Love in 2008 with a vision for service in humility and yearning for simple giving. She has always been a passionate volunteer for various charitable organisations from a young age, and had travelled extensively doing volunteer work in her formative years to Malawi with World Vision, Alaska with Habitat for Humanity, Hunan with Sowers Action, amongst others. She graduated from the University of Manchester, with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture in 1999. Subsequently, she has worked with prominent British Architect and Urban Designer Sir Terry Farrell for a number of years, and also managed investments in marketing and retail services in Hong Kong and China for over ten years. Ms Chao is currently Executive Director of Cheuk Nang (Holdings) Ltd. [HKSE 131], and also Honorary Flight Lieutenant of the Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps.
Mr. John Howard Chinchen
In 2014, John, following 7 years of full-time ministry as a Chaplain of St John's Cathedral in Hong Kong, reverted to the style and position of Cathedral Honorary Chaplain, which he had held previously from 1989 to 2006. Born in London, schooled in England, he completed his studies at RMIT in Melbourne and qualified as a Land Surveyor. He moved to South-east Asia in 1963 and participated in a range of important projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Brunei. In 1967 he launched his own professional practice in Singapore. In the following 43 years his professional contributions to the landscape – and beneath it – included the MTR, the Central tunnel and Tsing Ma Bridge in Hong Kong. He was Chairman, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Hong Kong branch) 1983/84. In partnership with The Economist, he established the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) in Singapore and Hong Kong in 1968. John trained for the ordained ministry of the Church of England in Salisbury, and was ordained and licensed as Bishop's Chaplain in 1989. He has maintained that title with three bishops of Salisbury, while serving in the main from the China Coast. He has also served as President, Royal Society of St George (Hong Kong) 1984/5 and President, District Board of Benevolence (2002/11), responsible for the charitable and pastoral endeavours of the Hong Kong Freemasons who are affiliated to the United Grand Lodge of England. John is a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Painter Stainers Company.
Dr. Cheung Siu Lan Karen 張筱蘭
Dr Karen Siu-Lan CHEUNG, Ph.D., MA(Chinese Studies), BsocSc., is the honorary assistant professor of the Department of Social Work and Social Administration and a honorary research fellow in the Sau Po Centre on Aging at HKU. Prior to her appointment at HKU, she taught at HKUST and has served and trained in various universities and research institutes, e.g. INSERM in France, University of "La Sapienza" in Italy, Max Planck Institute of Demographic Research in Germany, University of Lausanne in Switzerland and Stanford University in the USA. She was the fellowship recipient under the research training network funded by the European Commission and awarded from Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund and the Croucher Foundation. She has published in reputed international scientific journals, such as Demography, Population Studies, Demographic Research, International Journal of Geriatrics and Psychiatric, European Journal of Ageing, Asian Population Studies, Genus, Revue économique, Comptes Rendus Biologie, etc. She has a keen interest in healthy longevity, centenarians and dementia caregiving. Her research also covers a wide range of demographic issues including mortality trajectory and life table analysis, population ageing, health expectancy, family and health-related policy issues, and cross-border population dynamics. Her husband is the renowned artist from Hong Kong and the Mainland China, Joe Ma Tak-Chung
Mr. Chan Chun Hin Phoebus 陳雋騫
Phoebus Chan, Founder and Executive Director of PA House Ltd.; Executive Director of FABRIANO an Italian Handbag Retail Company; Presenter of RTHK Radio 2; and Board Member of HaoXue Action Charity Foundation.
While commercially active, Chan has also played a significant role in Hong Kong's music industry. He was also the lecturer of the Hong Kong College of Technology, Director of the Pop Music Department of Baron School of Music, RTHK Radio 4 Presenter, Post Producer of Disney Channel Hong Kong.
He was the Music Director of Frances Yip Canadian Concert Tour 2012; performed with talented blind Taiwanese pianist Winner Hsu and Hong Kong artist Chau Pak Ho in charity concert. In 2010, Chan as collaborated with Lin Yu Chun (AKA "Taiwanese Susan Boyle"), winner of Britain's Got Talent Paul Potts and the youngest winner of the International Chopin Piano Competition Yundi Li respectively. In 2009, Chan performed with China's top soprano, Huang Ying; was the guest performer of "Be My Guest - Live on Stage". In 2008, Chan has also performed with numerous internationally renowned soloists including violinist David Garrett, British young talent Connie Talbot, Chinese young violinist Huang Meng-lai, The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, etc.. Chan was also the Music Director of famous Italian singer Patrizio Buanne's World Tour - Hong Kong; and performed as guest with Coco Lee in McDonald's Charity Gala Dinner.
Throughout year 2000 to 2008, Phoebus has been the Artist in Residence of Harbour City, as the pioneer of Shopping Mall Music creating a new platform for new rising stars.
He was also a columnist of the HK Daily News in 2005, and was awarded the 10 Most Outstanding Youth Artist Award in the same year.
Ms. Kristi L Swartz
Ms. Kristi L Swartz is the Managing Partner of Bryan Cave's Hong Kong office. Ms. Swartz was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2000 and concentrates her legal practice in corporate finance and securities including SFC matters. During the course of her legal career she has been the managing partner at a number of international law firms, prior to this she successfully opened up her own practice. Ms. Swartz has also worked as in-house counsel to Henderson China (Investment Co.) Ltd. Throughout her career she has served on the board of directors of three listed companies and is one of the founding members of the 30% Club Hong Kong.
Ms. Fok Ka Yee Alicia
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree at Columbia University, New York, Alice began her career by honing her business and consulting skills at Ernst & Young LLP, then at plural.com in Silicon Valley, California, offering high net worth clients e-business consulting services. Alice is currently the Director of DT Communications Asia Pacific, which she is mainly responsible for lining up strategic partnerships and to strengthen DT's alliance with China to the rest of the world. She is the committee of Shining Stars Foundation, young executives' committee of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, and was the Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year 2009.
